“When you’re a horse trader, it’s better to come home with the money over the horse.”
– Jack Rooker, Real Estate Developer
NATIONAL DUDLEY ON HORSETRADING
I never met Jack Rooker, but he’s one of the greats in building our city.
I heard his quote twice at an Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors event and just loved it.
Jack was in a warehouse deal that had done well and received an offer. His partners wanted to hold out for a better offer, but the market was turning and the next offer wasn’t certain.
Jack’s quote epitomizes a generation of developers in our community who used a disciplined approach to development and built our city into what it is today. Because in the horse trading business, money will always buy another horse.
