“What if we stopped saying ‘what if’ and started saying ‘let’s’?”

NATIONAL DUDLEY ON WHAT WE SAY
My gift is let’s. My Partners at DTSpade may disagree with that because they’re the ones getting dragged along with me, but early on in my career, I was told the following:
The real estate industry consistently rewards those who can relentlessly execute on a 60% plan.
I’ve found that to be true in real estate and about a thousand other industries, as well. When you really see what counts as innovation today, what if never matches up to let’s.
National Dudley is built on the what if because there are times when that is important. Some time should be spent on imagining what can be possible.
But DTSpade is 100% focused on the let’s. The creation event is in the let’s. The value creation is in the let’s. Every great thing for our city is in the let’s.
How would you answer, “Let’s __________________.”
