“Be present.”

NATIONAL DUDLEY ON BEING PRESENT
Short and sweet, these two words have so much meaning. For me, it’s a reminder to slow down. Life is hectic and people push themselves to multitask more than any human was meant to juggle at once.
As a working mom of 3, I find myself keeping a mental tally of everything I didn’t get done yesterday, what I still have left to accomplish today and how I’ll get everyone where they need to be tomorrow? I often forget to live in the moment – whether it’s to appreciate the view I have in watching the construction of the new Brave’s stadium from my office window, or listening (without distraction) to my daughter’s rendition of her favorite pop song or just enjoying that perfect glass of wine at the end of a long week.
I spend so much time thinking about 10 things while doing one, that I rarely get to enjoy the “now”. So, I’m reminded – be present… for my career. For my family. For me.
