To Emily, Homecoming is living in a world where people place more value on who they are and how they treat others, rather than what “things” they have.

Emily arrived at DTSpade by way of planes, trains and automobiles. Emily discovered her love for real estate investment early on, while studying abroad in Germany. While earning her degree, a coveted scholarship landed her an internship with a German Land Development Corporation in foreign direct investment. After returning to the states (and speaking fluent German), she resumed working for JP Morgan Chase while finishing her degree at Georgia State University. Upon graduating she was immediately snatched up by Ackerman & Co., where she began a diverse career in commercial real estate; starting in Research and Finance, then Property Administration and finally Project Management for Business Development. She was ready for her next challenge…

At DTSpade, Emily’s great work is that of a smooth operator. As Director of Operations, Emily is the engine that keeps the ship afloat at DTSpade, and works closely with the Client and all Partners to ensure nothing gets lost at sea. She is a multidisciplinary leader, wearing multiple hats. Emily’s role encompasses a range of operational responsibilities, overseeing internal processes and motivating the team through cultivating an environment of excellence.

When she comes down from her great work with us, she’s planning her next outdoor adventure. With a strong interest in wellness, you’ll either find her working out , or showering off after an easy 5K Mud Run race. But she’s most likely spotted with her husband cycling around Marietta Square, with both daughters strapped to the back of each bike, and answering the question “why” for the eleventy-bajillionth time.

Emily hopes to one day travel to the far ends of the earth, experiencing “real” ethnic dishes and culture and maybe even catch a ride on an elephant.
